How KotH scoring works β€” click to expand

Each UTC day's KotH standings are based on the final 3-hour round of the day β€” the round ending at 23:58:40 UTC (00:00 UTC / 7pm CST / 8pm EST / 5pm PST).

  • Only horses that raced in the final 3-hour window are eligible to be ranked.
  • The horse must have a balance > 0 at race time. Free-to-race horses (zero balance) don't count.
  • A horse's MMR can climb (or fall) throughout the day β€” what counts is its ending MMR after its last race in that final window.
  • A horse can sneak into top 80 in its final race. If a horse at rank 90 wins its race in the final window and ends up in the top 80, it gets credit.
  • You can retire a horse during the final window after it raced and still get credit for that day. The standings are locked once the round ends.
  • Tiebreaker on equal MMR: newer breeding stake date wins.
  • Points: rank #1 = 800, scaling down by 10/rank to rank #80 = 10. Maximum 800 pts/day from a single top-ranked horse.

⚑ TL;DR · Rules & Eligibility (READ FIRST) (click to expand)
  • Breed your G0–G4 horses together; race the G1–G5 foals to earn points and prizes.
  • Both prize pools (A and B) require the horse's winning auction bid to be Z10,000 or more. Bids under Z10k earn nothing and can't win. This is the gross winning bid β€” not the race-pool balance (which is 85% of the bid after fees).
  • The G0 horses dropped specifically for this finale are meant to give lapped players a fair shot β€” not to be consolidated into one wallet for a breeding advantage.
  • So inside the lineage of those finale G0 drops: transferring a mare DQ's her plus any foals she breeds after the transfer (her motherline, recursively). Foals she bred before the transfer stay eligible. Transferring any G1–G5 racer DQ's that racer. G0 studs going to stud auction = no DQ. Horses with no finale-G0 ancestry are unaffected.

πŸ“… Event Window

Monday May 18, 2026 at 00:00 UTC β†’ Monday May 25, 2026 at 00:00 UTC. One full week. Any race finishing inside this window counts.

βœ… Horse Eligibility (both pools)

To qualify for either pool, a racing horse must meet all of:

  1. Generation between G1 and G5 (inclusive). G6+ horses are excluded β€” this is the lapped-player league. (G0 horses don't race in this event; they're used as breeding studs/mares only.)
  2. The horse's breeding auction winning bid was Z10,000 or more. This is the gross bid amount β€” not the horse's race balance, which is 85% of the bid (the other 15% goes to fees). So a winning bid of Z10,000 produces a horse with a Z8,500 race balance. If the bid was below Z10,000, the horse will not accumulate any points and cannot win prizes.
  3. For horses descended from a finale G0 drop: the horse has not been transferred, and no mare in its mother chain has been transferred (see Transfer Rules below). Horses with no finale-G0 ancestry are unaffected by transfer.

πŸ”’ Transfer Rules (only finale G0 drops + their descendants)

Why this rule exists: the G0 horses dropped specifically for this finale event are a gift to lapped players so they can compete. We don't want someone consolidating five wallets' mares into one for a stacked breeding advantage.

Who it applies to: only the finale G0 drops and any horse descended from them. Older horses (and anything else with no finale-G0 ancestry) are freely tradeable β€” buy, sell, gift, transfer at will, no impact on eligibility.

The rule (inside the finale-G0 lineage):

  1. G0 studs are exempt β€” they don't race, and sending them to a stud auction is intended gameplay (anyone can bid to breed with them). Transferring a finale G0 stud does NOT cause a DQ.
  2. Transferring a finale G0 mare DQ's her plus any foal bred from her AFTER the transfer (recursively through her motherline). Foals bred from her before the transfer stay eligible β€” using up her breeding slots and then selling the empty mare is legitimate gameplay. Sons stop the chain β€” foals her sons sire in the stud market for OTHER players stay eligible (those went to innocent bidders, paired with non-finale mares).
  3. Transferring any descendant (G1–G5) in the finale-G0 lineage DQ's that descendant. If she's a mare, any post-transfer foals are also DQ'd (same time rule).

Examples:

  • Get a finale G0 stud β†’ keep it β†’ all good. Stud-market customers' foals: eligible.
  • Get a finale G0 stud β†’ send to stud auction / transfer it β†’ stud stays eligible (G0 studs are exempt). Stud-market customers' foals: eligible.
  • Get a finale G0 mare β†’ breed 10 foals β†’ transfer her β†’ the 10 pre-transfer foals stay eligible; only the mare herself is DQ'd. Legitimate "used the slots then sold" play.
  • Get a finale G0 mare β†’ transfer her to wallet B β†’ wallet B breeds foals β†’ those post-transfer foals are DQ'd (along with the mare). That's the laundering pattern this rule catches.
  • Get a finale G0 mare β†’ breed daughter D (kept) β†’ transfer D β†’ D + D's mother-chain DQ'd. The original G0 mare and her other daughters stay eligible if untransferred.

Old G0s already in circulation before the finale don't count for this rule β€” owners are free to do whatever with them and their lineage stays eligible.

πŸ† Pool A β€” Top Stables by Points (KotH-style)

Works exactly like the regular KotH quest, just filtered to eligible horses only.

  • Snapshot rebuilds after every round (8 rounds per UTC day, ~every 3 hours).
  • End-of-day lock-in: the 23:58 UTC round is the final snapshot β€” that's what counts toward your daily points.
  • To earn that day's points, your horse must race in the last 3-hour window of the day with a positive balance (just like regular KotH).
  • From that final window, we take only eligible horses (G1–G5 with Z10,000+ auction, no transfer) and rank them. The top 80 of that eligible-only field earn points (rank 1 = 800, rank 80 = 10).

Concrete example: in the 23:58 round, your horse is #123 overall (counting all G6+ and ineligible horses). When we strip those out, your horse is #50 among eligible G1–G5 horses β†’ it counts as rank 50 and earns 310 pts for your stable that day.

Daily points sum across the 7 days. Top 10 stables win.

Tie-break: highest single-day total. Still tied β†’ the prize is split equally.

⚑ Pool B β€” Fastest Finish Times

The single fastest finish time of any race during the event week. Each horse counts only once (its personal best). Top 10 horses win.

Same Z10,000+ winning-bid requirement as Pool A. Horses bought for under Z10k aren't eligible for either pool, no matter how fast they run.

Anti-sweep cap: a maximum of 3 finish-time slots per stable. If a stable would take a 4th slot, that horse is skipped and the next eligible horse takes the spot. Prevents one player with many fast horses from sweeping.

Tie-break: earlier race timestamp wins.

πŸ’° Prizes

See the prize columns in the tables below. Both pools pay the same curve: 1st = $200, down to 10th = $30. Total event pool: $1,500 USDC ($750 per pool).

πŸ”„ In addition to Q1–Q6

This event runs on top of the regular weekly Q1–Q6 quests. Both leaderboards continue as normal β€” Final Week is bonus money for everyone.
